Estimator

LEAD is a design and construction alliance created to lay the groundwork for the new homes and spaces communities need and leave a legacy of better urban development.

The Estimator will be part of the wider commercial team. The budgets are developed by the Total Outturn Cost (TOC) Team reporting to the TOC Manager through the Estimating Lead.  You will be responsible for developing the Initial Target Cost (ITC) estimates, ensuring a highly accurate Target Estimate Cost (TEC) is developed which will lead to a refined TOC.

What you will be doing

  • Develop master TOC Schedule of Quantities (SOQ) templates, support design team to populate specific SOQ Manage
  • Collaborate with design, construction and TOC project managers to develop pricing packs including SOQ and risk registers.
  • Collaborating on design constructability, construction method statements, including productivities, and programmes.
  • Producing rates using Candy (CCS), including justification and support Information.
  • Support TOC PM with budget and submission documentation development.
  • Ensure effective handover of TOC estimates to the Commercial Team
  • Effectively using quality assurance systems and accurately maintain documentation

The successful candidate will have

  • Relevant Engineering Qualification or Estimating experience  
  • MS Office Suites, Wrike and understanding of CANDY system or similar.
  • Practical experience in civil construction, earthworks, or engineering project tenders
  • Passion for sustainability with a vision to want to reduce cost to land rehabilitation and constructability.
